Question: I was wondering if you had an idea who the two witnesses are in Revelations. Are they previous people in the Bible? Also, can you tell me what you think of the pregnant woman that the beast is going to devour in Revelations?

Answer: The two witnesses in the Book of Revelation are Moses and Elijah, the same two that appeared with Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration in Matthew. Enoch will not be one of them because he was translated that he should not see death at all. The two witnesses will die and then be resurrected three days later.

The woman in Revelation chapter 12 represents all of God's people from the Old and New Testament. She was clothed with the sun (wrapped in a mantle of anointing power like Elijah of old). She had the moon under her feet (the moon is the lesser light representing the New Testament church). The sun also represents the Old Testament church, and, even as the moon reflects the light of the sun, so also the New Testament church reflects the old. Jesus said, "I am the light." He's the greater light-sun, and His saints are also the light of the world (the lesser light but still light). The moon also represents darkness because it comes out at night, so the woman had the moon under her feet because the church had conquered darkness or sin. Yes, Jesus will bruise satan under our feet shortly (Romans 16:20).

The man child represents a New Testament remnant that did not have time to grow and mature like the other seven churches in Revelation chapter 1 that had grown to the "measure of a man, unto the stature of Christ" (Ephesians 4). Satan wanted to wear out these end-time saints, that's why there is so much evil in the world today. But Satan will not get them because they will be translated like Enoch; and Satan will go forth to make war with the remnant of God's seed during the tribulation. That's why the Bible says Satan, thru the Antichrist, will open his mouth in blasphemy against them that dwell in heaven (those that had been raptured before) (Revelation 13).

The church is clear as the sun, fair as the moon, and as powerful as an army with banners (Solomon 6:10). Joseph saw the sun, moon and 11 stars bow before him. Joseph is a type of the Christ, and when he died he became star 12, so the 12 stars (12 apostles or 12 tribes) which the church is built upon (Ephesians 2), will bow to Christ; for every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord!
