12. Eight days later, the disciples were assembled, along with Thomas. Jesus came again among them, the doors being shut. John 20:26-29 gives this account and of Jesus' conversation with Thomas.

13. "The eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed then. And when they saw him they worshipped him: but some doubted.

14. "Jesus came and spake unto them saying, All power is given unto mein heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost; Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world" (Matthew 2818-20).

15. John 21 gives an account of His meeting them by the Sea of Galilee, of His having prepared breakfast for them, of the great catch of fish, and of His special conversation with Peter.

16. Paul also gives an account of the appearances of Jesus in 1 Corinthians 15:1-8.

The appearances of Jesus before His ascension to heaven were over a period of forty days. Not all the details are told by the same writer. No doubt there are also many times he was with them and conversed with them that are not recorded at all during those forty days. "And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen" (John 21:25).
