Question: How did God become God?

Answer: This is a question where the answer is hard to understand because it is beyond our comprehension.

The word "become" makes reference to "time." God is not related to time, but exists beyond time. When Moses asked God who he should say sent him to Pharaoh in Egypt, God defined Himself as "I am that I am". God is ever present. The past and future are just as immediately real to him as the present. This shows God is eternal. He always has been God and always will be God. Prayerfully consider these verses:

Psalms 90:2
Isaiah 57:15
